What dietary restrictions do you support?
At present, we specialise in curating hotels that can confidently cater to guests who require a strict gluten-free diet — particularly those with coeliac disease.
We also gather additional information regarding vegetarian and vegan options, which you’ll find detailed within each hotel’s questionnaire response in the pictures of their listing.
Every property responds directly to our dietary questionnaire, so we always recommend reviewing their answers carefully to ensure the hotel aligns with your specific needs and comfort level.

How do you verify if hotels are safe to support coeliacs?
We take a multi-step approach.
First, we conduct independent research to identify hotels that may be suitable, often reviewing guest feedback — particularly from travellers with coeliac disease.
Once shortlisted, we contact the hotel directly with a detailed questionnaire covering food preparation, cross-contamination protocols, staff training, and menu variety.
Their responses are published transparently on each listing page, so you can make an informed decision with confidence.
While we cannot guarantee a completely risk-free environment (as policies and staff can change), we prioritise properties that demonstrate awareness, clear procedures, and genuine commitment to accommodating coeliac guests.

How do I know if the information is up-to-date?
We reconfirm each hotel’s dietary capabilities approximately every 12 months.
On every listing page, you’ll see the date the information was last verified, so you can travel knowing when the details were most recently confirmed.
Do you work with airlines for special meals and cross-contamination concerns?
At present, we specialise in accommodation-only bookings and do not offer flight-inclusive packages.

What destinations are best for my dietary needs?
This can vary depending on your specific dietary requirements and personal comfort level. However, for coeliac travellers, certain destinations consistently stand out.
Italy is widely regarded as one of the most coeliac-aware countries in the world, thanks in part to the strong advocacy of the Italian Coeliac Association (AIC). In cities especially, you’ll often find certified coeliac-friendly restaurants and knowledgeable staff.
Spain also has a well-established coeliac community and high awareness levels, particularly in major cities. This is supported by The Spanish Federation of Coeliac Associations (FACE).
Much of traditional Mexican cuisine is naturally corn-based, which can make gluten-free dining easier — though, as always, cross-contamination awareness varies by establishment.

How do I book a trip on your website?
Booking is simple and takes just a few minutes:
- Enter your chosen destination
- Select your check-in and check-out dates
- Add the number of adults and children (including ages)
- Click Search
You can refine your results using filters such as star rating, and sort by price, review score, or property class to find your perfect match.
Once you’ve selected your hotel and preferred room type, click Book Now, review your booking details carefully, and select Next.
Complete your contact information, read and accept the Terms & Conditions, and confirm your booking.
After booking, we strongly recommend contacting the hotel directly to reconfirm your specific allergy or dietary requirements.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
We understand that plans can change.
Cancellations terms are set by the hotel and should be visible upon booking. If you wish to cancel your booking, please do so within the My Booking page. Please note an administration fee of £15 applies to all cancellations to cover associated payment processing and trust account fees.
If you would like to request an amendment, we’re happy to assist. Please note:
- An administration fee of £15 applies
- Amendments are subject to the Supplier/Principal’s approval
- Changes cannot be guaranteed

We aim to respond as quickly as possible during business hours.
You are a new travel agency, is my money safe?
Absolutely.
For your peace of mind, we are members of Protected Trust Services (PTS). This means your money is held securely in a trust account and is allocated specifically to pay for your booking.
We do not receive commission until the supplier has been paid.
Your booking — and your hard-earned money — are protected.
When will I receive my booking confirmation and travel documents?
You will receive:
- Booking confirmation: within 2 business days of placing your booking
- Travel documents: within 5 business days of full payment being completed and once the booking is outside of its refundable period
If you haven’t received your confirmation within 2 business days, please contact bookings@freefromtravel.com, and we’ll investigate promptly.
